Jay Thames

Jay Thames, a Texas native, graduated from TCU in Fort Worth, with film production and psychology degrees. After living in New York and working on several independent features, he moved to Los Angeles. Shortly after, he wrote/produced/directed the highly praised stage production, THAMES HIGH.

Following, Jay wrote/produced/starred in the critically acclaimed independent film AUTOMATIC, which played and won awards at film festivals around the world. The film will be released by Arrival Pictures in November of 2008.

Recently, he produced the noir independent feature YESTERDAY WAS A LIE.

Jay has been hired to write several screenplays by independent producers and production companies. He also sold the original screenplays P3, DEAD ENDS AND OPEN AIR and TREATMENT.

Currently, Jay is working on a wide array of projects; he is directing and producing the documentary CARPET RACERS, co-wrote and is producing the film HEAT WAVE with director Manu Boyer (I TRUST YOU TO KILL ME), producing TREATMENT with producers Allison Calleri (FANTASTIC FOUR 2) and Christina KY Lee (AMERICAN FUSION), co-created (Allison Calleri) and wrote the television series MAPLE DRIVE, and is in active development on THE DARKEST DAY – the story of the largest man made disaster in the history of the United States. Jay wrote the script and is attached to produce.

In addition, Jay has been hired to write an as yet titled biography about one of the largest personalities of the 20th century.
